I trained as a makeup artist under the guidance of Bobbi Brown (Cosmetics) and Mr Uemura (Shu Uemura Cosmetics) in London. I've worked on London fashion week for Abe Hamilton, Red or Dead, Central St Martins, and Paul Frith. I also worked with BBC on their BBC Live Show, Central St Martins, Animal Amnesty, The University of London Aids Benefit Show, and for international hair companies Toni & Guy UK, and Vidal Sassoon UK.
Back in New Zealand my freelance work has included fashion shows for Karen Walker, Kate Sylvester, Trelise Cooper and magazine editorial work for Pavement, Oyster, Pulp, Staple, Next, UNO Magazine, Womans Weekly and Womans Day. Often my freelance work is television commercial work or a corporate event show, clients have included Glassons, Coke and Leviis.
I'm available for wedding hair and makeup and travel throughout New Zealand and afar. As I am based in Tauranga most of my wedding work is in or around the Bay of Plenty area.
I use makeup brands in my kit that I trust because I've used these companies for long enough to know that they will last the distance in photo shoots, film work and weddings. I look for products that are waterproof but have good ingredients. Foundations I choose have a skin like finish, have buildable coverage and are heatproof. Eye makeup and lip products need to be blendable and have an amazing lasting quality. Brands I use include Anastasia Beverly Hills, Huda Beauty, Stila, Too Faced, Shu Uemura, MAC, Dior, KatVonD, Laura Mercier and Bella Vi Organic Cosmetics.
Over the last ten years I have used some of my spare time to expand my artistic knowledge by completing an art degree and have recently begun to exhibit my artwork around New Zealand.
